I will drop this here as a simple curiosity without much further comment: The decreasing/increasing prevalence of the terms global warming and climate change in news media discourse. For some reason, peak usage of the term global warming happened in 2007 and it has been dropping ever since. In contrast, the term climate change has been rising steadily in prevalence since the year 2000.

Looking at monthly frequencies shows that the term global warming peaked around February 2007 in most, but not all, outlets.
